I didnt think I’d ever write but…

nekogrand:

First off, I’m not hating on anything, i respect all of your oppinions, so i ask for you to respect mine too.

So a lot of people are like “Why do you hate on/leave the fandom because touken is your notp” “it wasnt just some hentai for fanservice! Ishida would never do something without meaning!”

Like yes, it wasnt just a sex scene out of the blue. Yes it had meaning. And the part where Kaneki cried, also had meaning. Just because he said he doesnt know why hes crying, doesnt make it meaningless.

I don’t know why other people are upset, but for me, it’s that the whole series Touka has been abusive towards Kaneki in one way or another, and no one appreciates the people who actually showed how worried they are and how they care for him, both in the series and in the fandom. Even when kaneki came back, she full force bashed his head into the table. Yes that can be explained, but it doesnt mean it was okay. Especially since all his life he has been abused by women the most. And then we get touka comforting kaneki (and distracting herself) through sex, for me its like ¿¿¿

Like yay Kaneki feels loved, yay Kaneki is happy for even a moment, yay Kneki was the first to ask if he can touch her, yay Kaneki hugged, kissed, and got comfort he never felt. Kaneki showed his weak side by crying and opened up a little like that.

But it’s like… what about other people who were there? who tried to comfort him in their own way? who tried to save him from himself? I dont think they are taken into consideration as much. Touka isnt the one who loves Kaneki, be it romanticly or friendly like. In my oppinion it was just a bit forced and unnesecary. Especially after Touka found out Yoriko is kinda dead? like i know she hides her emotions but..really?

But overall i guess its nice Kaneki got comfort in one way or another and felt close to Touka.

u right the next 10 chapters are gonna be kaneki making love to everyone else who cares for him u heard it here first

unacceptable (yet common) behavior seen when going through ishida-sensei’s tag on twitter →

(the order of tweets is from bottom to top)

image

i can list multiple reasons on why this is completely unacceptable behavior:

1) don’t harass the creator on what they can or can’t do, this should be common sense
2) complain about something that has happened/is possibly implied in a chapter that’s not legally released yet (in other words, directly telling the creator that you illegally read their unreleased work for free)
3) don’t ever make light of suicide, that’s absolutely disgusting and disrespectful
4) don’t speak as if you represent a whole, not all “stans” agree with you or your methods
5) acting like a child will do nothing; do you honestly think the creator is going to take into consideration what you said and make changes to appease you specifically, just because you’re upset?

…and the results for this kind of behavior →

(taken from the account’s header)

(amazing.)

what can’t you believe? why are you shocked?

you continuously harassed an individual and made light of suicide. how could you possibly think there won’t be any consequences for that type of behavior.

(also having the creator block you isn’t something to be proud of, so i have no idea why you would place this as your header for everyone to see…)

note: please be a decent human being and stop harassing ishida-sensei on twitter (despite his impossible work schedule, he’s still a human being). everything you tweet to him in english represents the entire western fandom in some aspect, so please take that into consideration before you tweet at him.

this behavior really needs to stop.

a rundown of why omelas is so important thematically to bangtan’s entire concept

kookminvoid:

This isn’t going to be MV analysis, per se, because this is just a teaser. I’m not going to tell you who dies (there are 5000 people doing it already please guys don’t ask this of me), or what’s going on, but the theme behind the mv, and the BLATANTLY POLITICAL commentary that makes it so important.

Okay, this might seem like jumping the gun, but BTS have done criticism before on society. Heck, other than Boy In Luv and War of Hormone era, each comeback has been increasingly outspoken. Their debut MV, No More Dream, was about the extremely pressuring education system in South Korea, as was N.O. So something like Spring Day, their new comeback, wouldn’t seem too out of place. Omelas, the glowing neon sign, seems to be the false utopia whose metaphorical existence depends entirely on the suffering of the youth.

So what makes this comeback so radically different from any of the others?
